.......... THREE PLAY-OFFS SCHEDULED IN JUNE

The last qualified teams will be known after the intercontinental play-offs in June. A CONMEBOL representative (South America) will face an AFC country (Asia, which will be the winner of the UAE-Australia match) in Qatar on 13th or 14th June 2022. Similarly, a play-off will oppose a representative of CONCACAF (North America) to an OFC country (Costa Rica will oppose New Zealand) on June 13th or 14th in Qatar.

Finally, due to the Russian military operation in Ukraine, the fate of the Track A dam in Europe is on hold. Wales has qualified for the final of the play-off, however the semi-final between Scotland and Ukraine has not yet taken place, and could take place in June 2022. Nothing is fixed yet, everything will depend on the conflict evolution in Ukraine.

Remember that the draw ceremony for the group stage of the World Cup will take place on April 1st in Doha, Qatar.
