CHADIAN ARMY KILLS MORE THAN 300 REBELS, ARREST HUNDREDS.

The Chadian army announced late Sunday that it has killed more than 300 rebels in the northern part of the country.

According to a press release from the military, Chadian soldiers were in battle on Saturday April 17 against the elements of The Front For Change and Concord in Chad (FACT).

"More than 300 terrorists have been neutralized and 150 were taken prisoner, including three senior officials" during the clashes in the Kanem province on Saturday" the statement reads.

Several FACT elements were reportedly wounded as well as an important quantity of war materials were equally recovered or destroyed.

It is reported that 26 vehicles, including 16 equipped with heavy weapons, were recovered from the rebels.

The fight against insurgency remains a priority to the Chadian president who is seeking re-election in a just ended presidential election.

President Idriss Deby Itno in early 2020, joined the country’s soldiers in the frontline of the fight against Boko Haram terrorists. Deby appeared in military fatigue as he led an operation to decimate the terrorists from Chadian territory.

Several Chadians had waged their support to the Field Marshall of Chad as he relentlessly battles to keep the country and the region at peace. Many believe he is the guarantor of their peace and security at a time when insurgency has become a cankerworm to the development of the sub-region.
